[07/01/2011] Fellowes Mars A4 Laminator

  • Excellent value for money and easy to use.
  • This is my second laminator and so far, I am quite pleased with its performance. It warms up in six minutes or so, laminates the documents nicely, and is safe too. It also works with photos and as long as you don’t need to work with thicker pouches or A3, this is the perfect product for the home office.
  • I laminate documents occasionally, so I wanted something affordable, easy to use, and easy to set up and the Fellowes Mars seemed like the perfect choice. So far, it has been working great and with no hiccups at all.
  • My older machine broke down and I decided that it was a time for a new one – took the time to read some reviews and this one stood out as a pretty decent laminator for personal use and also came with an unbeatable price. If you work in an office and have to process hundreds of documents per day, then you might want to get a different model since this is not the speediest one, but for personal use, it’s perfect.
  • After I got, I thought that there was something wrong with it since it took about five minutes to warm up, but then I checked out the supplier’s site and the warm-up time is actually indicated to be seven minutes. Still a tad long for my liking, but I should have taken the time to read the specs before buying. Otherwise, it works just as it should and I haven’t had any problems.
  • This is a very simple to use laminator and that’s what I love about it – all I have to do was to plug it in, wait for the light to go on, and then it was ready to use!
  • This is my second Fellowes and the first one was nothing but trouble. It kept eating the documents, chewing then, jamming, and whatnot. So, I was a bit skeptical, but I needed one and bought Fellowes again and this purchase I don’t regret. It works well, it heats up reasonably quickly, and for the occasional user is excellent.
  • It is small and lightweight, it doesn’t take much space, and it is very easy to use.
  • If I had to rate this item, I would give it four out of five. It really works well, so there are no flows there, it heaps up nicely, and it is so simple that it can be used by a ten year old. All the documents and photos that I ran through it came out nicely, with no wrinkles, curling, or bubbles, so the quality is also very decent. What I didn’t like was the fact that there were no pouches inside the box for some reason and even though they are quite cheap, having a few to start off would have been nice. Another small problem is the fact that it cools off between laminating, so if you have to run a lot of document, it will take you a while.
  • Excellent value for money, steady, and great for the small office.
